We’ve just updated the Joomlajunkie club downloads with new versions of Morph, Configurator and Vanilla (see change log below). There have been a ton of fixes and refinements cross the board and Configurator is working pretty well in Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome.
The frontend themelets are already pretty stable and now Configurator is almost ready for the imminent release candidate. You will notice in the new version that step 3 of the installer has been removed. We don’t like doing anything half baked and realized that we need more time to do it properly, but we don’t want that to hold Morph back from getting to a stable release. (more…)

According to PacktPub, the following finalists were chosen based on: “a combination of methods like self nomination, popularity, and by judging whether they were the most interesting, creative or really useful projects for a specific purpose that they released in the past year” (more…)

For any of you that are unsure about whether Morph is for you, we have setup a new demo where you can login and kick the tires and get a feeling for Configurator and Morph. Please note that the demo will be refreshed every hour.
Backend demo
The point of the admin demo is to get a feel for Configurator. Please note that while we are working on the cross browser fixes, the admin demo is best viewed in Firefox 3.5.
It’s been a grueling couple of weeks, with the entire team working around the clock to get Morph to a point where we are happy to say it’s feature complete for the stable release.
Now that we have reached code freeze, you’re probably wondering what’s next? Well, over the next week or two we will be focusing extensively on bug fixing, cross browser testing and performance optimization – after which point a release candidate will be made available. (more…)
