Hi Laurence,

Chris has been planning a multi-part blog post, which covers the current state of affairs with regards to Morph, Prothemer and a bunch of other exciting developments.

We realize we've been a bit quite and haven't done a great job keeping you all in the loop, but that is only because we're hard at work getting Morph ready for 2.5 and finishing the new Prothemer site.

We decided to shelf the Nooku version, as it was holding us back and not having a Joomla 1.6/1.7 version of Morph has impacted the business a lot.

We still believe in Nooku, but without the necessary skills in-house (and there being a general shortage of Nooku developers available) we had to rethink our strategy for Morph.

As such, we have partnered with the talented guys from Techjoomla, who are currently helping us with the standard upgrade of Morph to Joomla 2.5.

The new version will be a unified package, working on both Joomla 1.5 and 2.5. Once the general support for 1.5 has been dropped by Joomla, we will follow suite and remove the Joomla 1.5 compatibility layer.

Regarding the Prothemer site, we're working furiously to get the new site finished, so that we can finally move away from the JJ brand.

We've put a ton of thought into the new site and merged as many of our systems as possible, while providing a much smoother experience for our members. We're going to refrain from specifying an actual launch date, but it'll definitely be within Q1 of this year.

The Morph 2.5 conversion is going well and so far, Morph is installable on 1.7 and most of the functionality in Configurator is working.

I know this probably doesn't answer all of your questions, but the blog post Chris is writing for the new Prothemer site launch will cover our future plans in a lot more detail.

If there are any specific questions you'd like answered, please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
Tess
