Vector is now Joomla 1.5 ready

Over the past month JoomlaJunkie has experienced some internal growth, and with that growth we are trying to improve ourselves. We continually look ahead and strive to improve your experience with us, but looking ahead sometimes means forgetting the past and that is not our style.

When we looked behind we realized we wanted to get some of our older templates updated to work with Joomla 1.5 nativly. (That means no more Legacy mode.)

This month we are happy to announce Vector has been converted and runs on Joomla 1.5. More details about Vector after the jump.

Packed with a whopping 12 module positions, this is the perfect template for anyone with a content rich website. It ensures ease of navigation for users. As for the usual high quality specifications from JoomlaJunkie – Vector is fully XHTML and CSS validated and compliant, optimised for SEO.

The CSS is fully described and detailed, and has been tested in Firefox 1.5 / 2.0, IE 6 / 7, Opera, Safari and Flock.

More details have been added to the website typography, sidebars and the user modules are fully collapsible. An instant search facility and out-of-the-box installation make Vector a great choice for the those who want to up and running as soon as possible.

The versatility of a flexi shelf!

A flexi what….A flexi shelf!! This is the area at the top of the page with the two module positions, we call it a shelf because you can put anything there you want and move them around as you like. Flexi because it is completely flexible and collapsible. You can have one or two modules assigned to the shelf. If you only use one, then the one that is assigned will use all the space available. If none are assigned, then the shelf is completely transparent and will not show at all. How cool is that!

As with all our templates, Vector is CSS and XHTML compliant. All modules are fully collapsible, and detailed online install tips and a template guide are available. The CSS files have detailed explanations on each style (for those new and unfamiliar with CSS), and if that is still confusing, our support center and online forums will help you out.

Quick Info – Important Read

When you have your template, unzip the file you downloaded. The template is bundled with all source files, any used fonts and the templates install file.

Be sure to go through the template’s guide thoroughly, as it covers step by step instructions on how to get your template setup properly. Should you run into any problems or find a bug, you can login to the site and access the templates support forum (Vector support only available for club members).
