Morph 2.0 for Joomla – stable release now available for download
Happy days for all our members! After a mere 4 weeks in Release Candidate status, Morph 2.0 is now stable and warmly recommended to use on your live Joomla site.
Morph is a template development framework and toolset for Joomla. You use Morph to develop and manage Joomla websites faster and easier compared to a classic Joomla template. Read more about Morph and try the demo.
For previous blog posts about
Morph 2.0, see:
Major update means lots of new features
In the Morph documentation, you will find the
summary of the changes in Morph 2.0
Morph 2.0 going stable also means you can take advantage of
the new Emphatic themelet for your next Joomla website project!
Read the Emphatic preview post and browse the demo.
How to upgrade
It is absolutely essential that you do not upgrade to Morph 2.0 on your live site, as things will appear broken due to the structural changes in the new version.
Either test the upgrade process offline in your local development environment, or duplicate your site. We will not be held responsible for any disruption to your sites availability if you choose to ignore this warning.
Before you upgrade! Read
How to upgrade your Morph v1.x site to v2.x
ALWAYS create a backup of your site before you upgrade, and NEVER upgrade on your live site!

dont work with 1.6/7 …useless
Hi Bob,
Morph currently only works on the latest longlife version of Joomla (which is 1.5).
We are in the development of converting Morph to be on the Nooku framework, which means it’ll be compatible with higher versions of Joomla when it’s all done (no timeline yet, as we just went GPL and opened up Morph for community contributions with the development)
Keep in mind that Joomla 1.6 has already reached its end of live, and Joomla 1.7 is another short-life version. See this for more info: http://www.joomlacommunity.eu/infographic-joomla-development-strategy-en
Cheers,
Tess
