New versions released of the Morph toolset for Joomla

It’s been a busy week of refining Morph as a whole, as well as working on our new Joomla Sample Content Installer (JSCI). Stay tuned for more updates about documentation and themelets during this week.

Configurator component updated to 1.03

• Added new recycle bin option for accidental deletions.
• Updated the backups manager to include file backups that are created and moved into the assets tab.
• Removed the sub tab animation for better responsiveness.
• Updated all files with new directory separators.
• Assets via AJAX controller task added.
• Assets re-factored to use Ajax and some tweaks for performance.
• Assets backup, delete and recycle bin functionality re-factored.
• JS Optimization, removed all delete dialogs and reorganized the javascript.
• Moved all the assets JS into its own file.
• Fixed an issue with the deletion of assets not working if the footer was hidden.
• Added new options to disable the credits or copyright text.
• Lots of general layout tweaks to the admin interface.
• Removed the preference option to disable the shelf (since being able to toggle is enough).
• Removed the QuickTips as they weren’t practical from a maintenance point of view.
• Hide the copyright / credits options in Configurator if set to no.
• Hide the pathway pre-text text area if option is disabled.

Morph template updated to 1.03

• Updated the dev toolbar to allow you to disable javascript from the frontend and general refinements.
• Added automatic inclusion into the packed javascript/css if anyone of our modules are being used.
• Updated all files to fix the directory separator issue.
• Tweaked the weblinks layout overrides
• Updated the various html overrides to use a generic description class.
• Fixed the db query which determines whether the sidenav menu css is included.
• Number of different yui css tweaks, including grids in articles.
• Added conditional wrap around the logo width & height + footer color variables.

The Morph template is where most of the the heavy lifting is done. Think of it as the engine of a car, while the themelets are the sexy body work. Download the Morph template here

Vanilla themelet updated to 1.02

• Tweaked the newsfeed layout, tidied up some css + tweaked the system error layout.
• Tweaked the search module in the sidebar.
• Tweaked the weblinks component styling.
• Tweaked the image alignment classes & added a new hr.clearer class.
• Added the “none” class for lists.
• Moved anything color related from the frontend editor css to the themelet.
• Moved a number of Mozilla, Safari, IE & CSS3 selectors to their own css files (fixes css validation).
• Removed some default styling on list items in various modules.
• Tweaked the pagenav bar styling.
• Tweaked the contact form’s layout.
• Tweaked the table of contents styling in articles.
• Tweaked the styling for tables with Joomla’s default section-table classes.
• Added support for up to 5 columns in the content blog view.
• Tweaked the article row / blog layout.
• Tweaked the read-on spacing.
• Added a teaser class to first para in article view + last class on article rows.
• Added in the list styles from explorer.
• Tweaked the component heading spacing.
• Updated the category desc font (was set to georgia from explorer)
• Tweaked the contact category list layout.
• Set the polls alternating color lighter
• Article heading and category description tweaks
• Added separator between blog articles
• Moved some module related css into modules.css.
• Added 125×125 2×2 banner block styling, as well as a tweak for the newsflash (now a h4) heading.
• Fixed pathway breaking onto two lines with longer titles.
• Menu in toolbar styling.
• General tweaks to the overall typo.
• Tweaked the sub items border on the top menu.
• Added needed images for new typo (still need to be unified into a single sprite).
• Updated the footer text and link defaults.
