Welcome Techjoomla, our 1st Morph Development Partner!

We’re immensely proud to announce our very first Morph Development Partner: Techjoomla! The talented Techjoomla team are currently helping us with the standard upgrade of the Morph template framework to Joomla 2.5, and we couldn’t be more happy and excited!

It all started in Malaysia last year, where I presented Morph on Joomla!Day. In the audience was Parth Lawate from Techjoomla, who after the presentation shared his excitement about Morph and our choice of licensing (GPL).

How to setup a Mega Shelf Menu with Morph for Joomla

Learn how to setup a mega menu with a difference, using Morph‘s built in Mega Shelf Menu jQuery plugin. Since nothing like this existed, we decided to write our own jQuery plugin and it is now included in The Morph Framework 2.0.

This is the first in a series of more technical tutorials showing you how Morph can be extended. Once you have completed this tutorial, you should end up with a mega shelf menu like the one demonstrated in this demo.

Morph 3.0 ALPHA is here!

I am absolutely THRILLED to announce that we have the first installable version of Morph 3.0! In case you’re new to JoomlaJunkie or just been living under a rock, Morph 3.0 is the first version that is powered by the Nooku Extension Framework. Sounds a mouthful, doesn’t it?

What’s so special about Morph version 3.0?

We’ve essentially ported the latest 2.0 build of Morph to rely on the Nooku framework instead of using Joomla’s underlying framework.

Think of this as giving Morph a brain transplant, replacing the tired and slightly bedazzled brain, with a shiny new one. The benefits of this upgrade includes up to 80% less code (less code = less bugs), the ability to add new features SUBSTANTIALLY faster than before and really take Morph to a whole new level. While you wont see the fruits of this in the initial release, just take a look at the rapid speed that Ninjaboard is blazing ahead, now that the solid base is stable. Ninjaboard is a forum component that is also powered by the Nooku Framework, and its courageous leader (in breaking the mould) is our very own lead developer, Stian! We’re working on a completely revamped admin interface for Configurator and a ton of other exciting updates. Safe to say, exciting times are ahead! (more…)
