LeBlanc Setup Guide

This is a step-by-step guide on how to setup your LeBlanc themelet.

Part 1 - Installing Joomla using our quick installer package

If you know how to install Joomla, then you dont need to watch this screencast, just install Joomla normally but make sure you use our Quick Installer package in place of the Joomla package.

This screencast will run you through the steps for downloading and installing Joomla using our generic quick installer package that we have built to help you get setup with a base for your site as fast as possible.

The quick installer provides the base content and structure that is ideal for Morph and will show you how things in Morph can be implemented. This is the ideal platform for learning about Morph and what you can do.

Part 2 - Installing the Morph toolset (Morph, Configurator and the themelet)

If you know how to install Morph and a themelet, then you dont need to watch this, just install as normal.

This screencast will run you through the steps for setting up Morph, Configurator and Leblanc on a fresh install of Joomla.

Part 3 - Creating a roll back state of your new install (optional)

This screencast will show you how to create a snapshot (backup) of the new install you have just setup. This allows you to at any stage, in case of emergency, or just to start fresh, roll back to the newly installed state. This eliminates having to re install everything all over again.

This backup becomes important if you are going to be switching themelets on the same site and wanting the demo content to change along with it. With this backup, you will be able to switch between demo setups for respective themelets on the same site with ease.

This is optional, but we highly recommend that you do this as it has a number of benefits that will help you in the long run.

Part 4 - Running the quick setup file and adding the demo images

This screencast shows you how to automatically transform your site to look exactly like the demo. Once you run this file, your new install will run the remainder of the setup steps for you. This is great, because these are all the steps that were manual before, but just running this file using the tools tab in Configurator will do it all for you. If you do not use the generic quick installer and opt to use the Joomla installer, you will need to do all of these steps manually.

Finishing off

Now that you are all setup, lets take a look at a few other things you may be wondering about.

Working with the menu

The menu system in LeBlanc is able to have the full menu system with subtext, superfish and super dropline in both the user3 position (below the logo), and the top position (to the right of the logo).

All you need to do is simply assign your menu module to the position that you want and use the suffixes to apply the menu you want. See the Menu system help documentation to see how to apply the different menus.

If you have used the Morph Quick installer to setup your website and are using the menu that is by default assigned to the {top} module position. You will need to change the end level in the menu parameter to "5" as you see in the below image. This will ensure the sub items drop down as expected.

Do you think this help article can be improved?
